My two enjoy rc also, (7&3) they only have the little 3ch scouts though lol. eldest get's a good hover going, so that msrx is his next logical upgrade (was going to be my old msr but bit's are getting harder to buy).

I've just started selling some of my gear also, but I'm up to 6 heli's 1 plane (micro polecat) 6 car's (4 race ready 2 bashers) 3 boats and another plane being built now (foam funtana)...

That's my collection, the kids have a bunch also...

He has used the sim for a bit on and off, I believe he will be better than me in a year. He was flying so good at under ten batteries there that i sold the msrx and moved him to the nano, outdoors though I had him running it as a simulated FP

On the MSR the parts should be easier to find now that they re-released it.

Yes I think soon I will need to convince the wife that he needs a Goblin 770 to be able to learn how to properly assemble a heli

I try to get my boys to fly more often, mainly because it lets me relax :-). But usually I've got to take the motorbike out instead :-( (we take it to the local park, I fly while the eldest rides usually).
The Msr re-released, well that's good news, will have to stock up on bits. That was the best little trainer for me. Where I learnt all my upright orientation.

Wow, goblin 770, I can't wait to get to that class. Construction skills are a life lesson, I'm sure it'll be fine :-)

Sorry to ask this basic question, but what kind of battery connectors does this heli use. I'm thinking XT60. Hobbypartz has some gensace 1300 batts right now.

Nope... EC3's. Warm up your soldering iron and break out your connectors.

Nothing is really wrong with the AR7200BX, but like all Spektrum gear, it doesn't run without electricity. Therefore, when you run a marginal ESC or there's a defect, it can heat up and a momentary power supply interruption can cause failure of the receiver, which will wait until the power level comes back up, then attempt to reboot and re-gain a lock on your signal. By then, usually you're in the ground. So, technically it's not a problem with the receiver, but the dang things are somewhat sensitive.

I am in the process of converting to all ex3 and ec5
They are really just bullets in a nice housing

On the goblin 770 I think it is a must for construction techniques for my son I don't think he will learn enough with just the Goblin 500 build next week

So pretty much ec3/ec5 without the housing and a pos/neg on each side instead of neg/neg and pos/pos.

After owning many connectors I really like the ec style. Previously I preferred the deans or xt60s, but both wear out fairly quickly.

How do you keep the +, - leads apart on the battery without a housing?
