It seems like an E-Flite 110 brushless would suit this, but there's no information posted.

I'd like to know the wingspan, weight, and whether or not there is a battery hatch.

Well, if it is 1/4 scale it should be right around 88" wingspan.

I was also wondering if there is a battery hatch to make it electric instead of gas.

Cough Cough, 1/4 scale same size as the old flair kit which went for $400 back when you could get them.

For a bipe this size, they seem to be in the ballpark.

Yeah... that price had me skipping past it without much notice. Seems like it would have to be a scale lovers dream plane.

But... I noted the 20cc Taylorcraft took around a $75 jump and is now over $600.

At those prices, we may see a return to scratch building, eh.

As a comparison, here is a 84" Aeroworks Ultimate at $1200 plus shipping. Not saying the two are completely comparable, but similar wingspan.

You don't happen to know if it has a hidden battery hatch for electric conversion on it do you?

All these price increases are just a reflection on our de-valuing dollar, have you been in a grocery store lately! Sad!

No battery hatch, sorry guys. Span is 88 inches, length 72 inches. Designed around the Evolution 26GX. Target availability is beginning of April.

Same with me.

At that price, I don't want to start doing cosmetic and structural surgery.

I'll look for another big electric.

I bought a similar ARF Tiger Moth, of the same size, around 8 years ago now. I decided that removable battery packs would get too complicated, so fitted one pack of 30 Nicad cells, up front and just into the cowling. It flew fine for seven years, but last year, I decide to change the battery pack, as it was getting tired. It now flys on a 10S2P pack of A123 cells which are charged in the model. It weighs around two pounds less than before and flys better than ever! 1500 Watts at full power is really too much and it wafts around in the cruise at around 700 Watts. Embrace the technology and go for it!
