If the transmitter is (usually) mounted in some sort of tray where Your hands can rest or lean on and You are controlling Your stick's with thumb and finger. Not holding Your transmitter on the sides but mainly resting on the strap around Your neck. Hope this is some understandable explanation. |

Neither did I know it's been namend 'pinching' so I learned something also. Thanks! In Europe "Pult" is referring to the tray or platform where the transmitter is fitted or mounted on/in. Regards, Danny. |

"Pinching" refers to controlling the stick tips with the thumb and index finger. "Thumbing" refers to having only the thumb on top of the stick. Tray users are probably all "pinchers" because of how they hold the stick (I found it the more natural way when I fly on the DX10t). I fly hand-held radios both pinching and thumbing because my hands are big enough. I have thumbed on the DX10t, too, but it kept causing button presses because of the tip switches ![]() Andy |

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the additional information. The 'pult' method still is very popular over here in Europe. The 'pinching' method in combination with the 'pult' tray should give a more finer control movement they say, wich I can believe to. The pult method always gave me the feel as if I were an ice lolly sales man at the beach, a specially with those large oversized tray's. regards, Danny. |
