As an owner of the DX18 also, I don't assume the new QQ version will have a problem that mine doesn't even have.

There you go again crvnation, as I mentioned before, trying to stick it (anything negative) to Horizon....

Looks to me like for $400 to $500 more you get a special sticker on the TX denoting that is a special edition. I figure that that kind of money it would have things like all metal gimbles, and so on.
OOps I just saw that they had a screen with the guy's autograph on it too. Does that come with all of them or just the advertisement promo pic shows that?

I simply mentioned a rumored TX that never made it to market. I also never said those rumors came from Horizon. How is that "negative to Horizon"?

Hey, you get a cool hat and some other swag, too! And, you don't have to go through the oh-so-torturous process of having to power cycle the radio to get to the system setting menu!

That's the standard startup sequence. They didn't show anything that's not part of the package.

Okay, so I got a virtually brand new DX18, the top model, and all the "good" features are limited to a limited radio (QQ) with the same hardware....
Disappointing.
I need no jet stuff, but some more avatars and more audio options would be nice. Spektrum continues to make me sad....
I hope some features will become available to the "cheap" mass market....

The "look" of the dark chrome, the orange stick ends and the rubberized toggle switches, that "look"

Receiver value at 100$ extra compared to previous version of the radio, 90$ X-Plus module, the case probably another 100$ and then the other stuff sounds about right. People are going to buy it and that's what HH wants.

I believe you guys are missing the included value of the dual transmitter case, a power safe AR12120 receiver and hte X plus module. All included and a $450 value. A little more than you all are representing.

John, most folks see it as something "special," and perhaps a bit of a value, too.

Like all unique things, if you can't pay the price, don't ask for it.

But God, I love my DX 8-if only She Who Must Be Obeyed would let me buy this one!
