Just an FYI-
I don't believe the XG's will work with the receivers the DX18 works with.
For me, that's represents a lot of receivers to change out.

Looking to buy one of these but have never purchased from HobbyHut. Any feedback on them? I've purchased from A Main Hobbies before and they had it for 10% off also but it was yesterday only.

HobbyHut's sale is through Sunday.

You can see my previous posts regarding my first try to get this fixed with HH. I just entered a new service request with the videos I posted here on Tuesday and am following up with a call today. I will let you know how it goes.

I just recive an answer:
".....if you want to change the display immediately bring your radio to LHS, otherwise, as this is not a defect that impairs the functioning of the radio, you can wait a time of year when flying less and send it in for service".

so, they assume that the problem is the display ..... I don't know if this is the truth.

I don't know if it's better to wait or not....

do it. Hobbyhut is great. Bought an Align 550E from them several months ago. Fast shipping and good service.

They don't. DSMX and DMSS aren't compatible. I too have quite a few receivers to swap, but it's worth it to me.

I ordered one through the "10% off" deal a week ago. I did the free shipping to keep the cost down so it taking about a week via UPS ground. $720 out the door. They are in PA and I'm in CA. It is out for delivery today! HH was totally professional, like the bigger guys, throughout the process. They got it out in 24 hours, confirmation order numbers by email with online order and shipping tracking, etc.

I spoke with a service agent who looked at the videos. He is forwarding them to the development team and is supposed to get back to me by Sunday (when he is working again) at the latest.

"Cosmetic" or not, my $800 radio has a defect that neither of my less expensive Spektrum radios have. I originally thought it was safe to be an early adopter because Horizon service would have my back. Now I am having serious doubts and I'm really starting to get pissed.

Good luck to the rest of you buying this radio.
