Overall I am very happy with the plane, she flies great in wind. Any other 1S plane today would have been almost unflyable in this wind.

Sorry if you covered this earlier but what did you use for a prop and battery for these flights? Good job avoiding the hawk!

Non-Hawk flight was the Eflite 150

Hawk Flite was Thunder Power 160

Both were with the stock 4 blader. I didn't even take the prop/saver off when switching out the motors. Loving this plane! Flew her again this afternoon and she is so much fun! I like bringing her in low to the deck after a nice hammerhead!

have been flying the paint off this guy lately as its my only 1s, as3x makes it fly like a beast and its so tiny it feels like flying a small plastic model... love it... here's a video I made today

SP and SX motors have an amazingly long life-span for a coreless brushed motor.
I've noticed that they run stronger after about 20~30 break-in flights.
Also, the better the batt, the better the performance.
Hyp (1S) 180s & 240s for me.

Of course I have had mine for almost a year and still haven't managed to do the 4 motors I bought. Guess I forgot to pick up the prerequisite Round Tuit

Was your video edited that way as a statement to those who were questioning the Spitfire's speed? It reminds me of a Benny Hill skit or something - kinda funny to watch @ 2x speed

it's unedited, except for sound... so that's stock motor's speed with a thunder power 150 mah

It may just be an illusion of spacial relation as it approaches the camera, like the hammerhead around 1:10 or so for example. It also seemed to have pretty snappy elevator response.

Looks like the video is cranked up about 20%

Or its a damn good video and flying and spacial relation these motors vary, maybe he got a really strong one.

Well, they finally came in stock this week at the LHS and I picked mine up today and maidened it at the club field. LOTS of down elevator needed but other than that I simply bound it to my DX8, gave it a toss and flew it, no expo, just 100% throws.

GREAT little plane. You can surely tell it is a 1s brushed motor as after flying the Beast 3D, Mig 15 DF and UM Stryker it seemed kind of slow. Then I took the Mossi up and realized it is pretty much on par for the brushed motor birds.

LOOKS AMAZING, very snappy elevator and ailerson response. It loops fine, if a little doggy at the top, and flys SUPER STABLE with the AS3X. Probably going to see more air time than any other of my micro planes, it's just sooooo much fun.
