Life happened, didn't get to fly her today. I have it scheduled in ink for tomorrow morning. I will get videos of each battery! So far on the bench it feels and sounds stronger!

aaaaahh maaan!!! <j/k>

I hear ya on things poppin' up and derailing even the best of plans to escape and fly... I'll definitely be interested on how well she goes, that would be soooo cool to see a successful brushless power system in this little guy

hopefully you'll have an opportunity tomorrow...by any chance would you be doing a morning maiden? <hint-hint>

it's not a brushless conversion, it is a 30% more powerful brushed replacement motor that is much more durable. Same diameter, drop in replacement (after changing the connector and pinion which RCBabble does as part of his service)

Yep just the SX motor, not brushless but still better than stock.

I am maidening her tomorrow morning. Hopefully in calm winds!

These are the Nine Eagles Bravo SX motors

With the pinion changed to the 9 pin and the longer wires and correct motor connector

Do these come with correct pinion? If so this is way to go!

No, but RCBabble will do the convert for you and sell a Ready To Go motor like the one we are waiting to get the report from IndyMatt later today

Picked up a new Spit yesterday and got to maiden her this morning. Overall it's an ok plane IMO but nothing spectacular. Definitely could use more power as well as a larger battery. The only place it really stood out was in wind. My UM T-28 was all over the place but the spit was rock steady. Waiting to hear what the Bravo motor does for it.

Okay I got to maiden her with the SX motor and it definitely was faster. She pulled through loops better but at the end of the flight after batteries are worn down she didn't have enough juice. Here is the first video:

Um Spitfire With SX 1 (3 min 35 sec)

Overall I am very happy with the plane, she flies great in wind. Any other 1S plane today would have been almost unflyable in this wind.

While flying her I with the new SX motor I had a bogie come in from 9'oclock high with the sun at its back. Luckily I was able to out maneuver it and it bugged out. Sorry for the language and the goofy comments but I was a little flustered and surprised.
