Seaking 120a help

I have seaking esc in a ul1 and geico. on the bench they work great. the minute i put them in water. I can run them from half to 3\4 throtle. the second i hit full they fail and go to half throtle. I have read the instructions over and over. and have tried everthing i can think of to no luck. I have a stiletto with a turnigy 120 witch is the same as seaking. and i have no problems. it runs great. Am i doing something wrong or are they just junk? Help Willy.

Next time you hook it up, reptogram it to 3.0 LVC and take it off autoselect for cell count.

I checked my stiletto and it is set on 3.0 and my other ones are 3.2. So you are saying if i reset progam to 3.0 Ill have full throtle and they wont fail to half throtle when i excelerate? Also lipos are done at 3.0 am i at risk of battery damage set that low, And will they have enough power to return to shore? Please reply, Thanx for the help. WILLY

Sometimes the Turnigy ES'sC revert back to intial settings, i have to do it occasionally on my T180's. Dont know if its a "for sure" fix, but thats all i can think of other than a radio issue. 3v cutoff is fine as it is under load then, when it comes in the resting voltage will be right around 3.7v which is full depletion. You will have enough left to get it to shore, it cuts down to around 20-30% power.

I dont think its my radios, becouse the ul1 and geico both do it and they are set 0n 3.2, the stiletto is on 3.0 and it works good Im also runing on 5s but i dont think that matters, or does it? One more question. is the tutnigy a half way decent esc, and will it last awhile? or do i have to look foward to buying a couple of expensive castle esc 120. Please reply. it sounds like you know your what your talking about. thanx, Willy

I think the Turnigy and the HobbyWing SeaKing are the the same esc. Both made by HobbyWing. As far as your hitting LVC you may be over proped or your batteries may be sagging in voltage too much under full throttle.

That same thought on battery sag under load crossed my mind too.
