Hi 777, I can easilly upgrade this set up to 10-12S by only changing motors. Firstly I have to find out its performance on 8S, unfortunatelly I finished little over 7kg AUW, with all little bits and pieces I have installed and using larger cap. and higher C rated batteries but its still bellow MOP limit. Just taking it out to do more tests and range check, field still too wet to maiden it, Joe.

Back from the field doing the range check and static thrust, better then expected while sitting on soft wheels it pulled 8.3kg dropping down to 8.1kg. It shows how much more efficient are multi powered models. No point going to heavier 10 or 12 cells when I get this power from 8S, Joe.

For some planes dual 90mm setups come out less than expensive than a single 120 - 127 also. |

Well, it seem to have almost 2kg more pull then both of my 12S, 127mm single set ups, tho they are both brilliant performers. Mind you I'm using 120a ESCs, heavy gauge leads and 45C paks which obviously improves performance. I'm under severe stress, hoping my CofG is close as this is totally new design and it could end up badly if its tail heavy as I did while ago with my 7.5Kw foamy monster, Joe.

No f/glass at all, but leading and trial edging reinforced with balsa. It's all soft top! has to be handled accordinly. Video/maiden AUW was 7kg while using lighter only 30C, 4Ah packs not adequate for this set up. All 4 packs finished pretty warm over 40deg. cel. and right down to 3.7volts per cell. Next flights will be using 4.5Ah 45C and ordering new sets of 5Ah as ad on weight is no issue. It is a floater as you seen my landing, Joe.

Few more flights today with Twin Widow 'running-in' my latest heavier 5Ah packs. Must see the video I'll load later tomorrow of my landing. Just one foot short of the creek, perfect timing. Real challenge at our field to clear 20m trees just 70m short of the strip, then force the nose down building up more speed, the last thing you want on final, and then hope you got enough room to flare it and stop it short of the water at the end of the strip. I always prefer Southerly, Joe.
