CaptCB,
The boat runs will in rougher water. I had it out on a breezy day. The wind dose move it around quite a bit. I contribute it to the way I build the keel open. This allows it to turn easier/tighter but allows the wind to turn it also. With the cabin being a snug fit water has washed over the deck and none entered. It will turn inside a 18-20 inch circle. I see no problem running this in a regatta at any distance from shore.

Thanks! for the info, you built a great little boat. I am planning on leaving the skeg solid, as I have done on my other pushboats. With 45-50 degrees of rudder, they seem to turn pretty sharp. I think it helps when running "light boat", in the wind. Charlie

I just thought I would send you, a Thank You, for your feedback on your boat. I kept it in mind, when figuring out some of the issues that are present in a small boat. I am very pleased with how it works. CB

CB, Your welcome! I have followed your 1/24 Truckable Towboat thread very closely. All I can say is WOW! That project has turned out great in every detail including the rudder design.

Welding tanks completed. Don't think it looks too bad for 4 push pins, styren, thread, and a paper clip.
