Some of the guys down here run very little timing yet high on the punch. I guess it works for them. I've never tried it as my kart runs just fine. Why change it unless the track requires me to. Thats only been three or four times.

I do and works like a charm for me. I make it to the A mains 99.9 percent of the time unless Harold or Dean is racing that day. Those two always find a way to hit me every time in the heats.

I didn't know you did. May I ask why? To me it makes no sense if you run low timing and high punch.

The secret is you probably loose most of the time with that setup.

Is there any postings on the new motor Roberts using? He had a posting a while back. I ran across one and thinking about throwing it in my new kart. The wires and plugs seem to work with one another. I'm kinda worried about the amp draw of this bad boy.

I'll see him today and find out. What I know most motors will work. You have to watch sensor or sensorless and be sure to match to the proper esc. They are different.

My motor is the same one I used this past Saturday. Same KV as everyone elses.

What about punch. I know its a lower winding is this why you turned up the punch setting as Lead stated.

I don't have a lot of time as wife and I are heading out for the evening. So, real quick. Its about the same but slightly faster I feel in all areas. This is due to its over all efficiency. The winding is slightly smaller as well. Same can size though.
