Here is a new design I have been working on. It handles high speed and slow flight really well. It lacks the elevator authority to get into a proper stall and it doesnt seem to want to fall off to either side.

Made out of 3mm depron and reenforced with CF rods. The motors are mounted with a tiny bit of upthrust and that really seems to help it pull through the coners. Only one rudder moves and it is really effective at turning left but not so much for turning to the left due to the non-counter rotating props.

I will have to clean up the sketchup file and possibly make a sharpie files for it now that I know it flies well.

Thanks for the plans. I've been looking for something interesting to build with twin motors. Used to talk to the FACs that flew in these things a lot in my younger years.

Here is a picture of it all ready to fly with the larger battery.

Pretty simple control linkages just 1mm carbon rod with heatshrink pivots.

Here is my attempt at a tiled PDF. I CNC my models so I never really use prints.

After flight testing I have found it performs far better with slightly smaller props.

4x2.5 works really well. I find with the larger props it is slightly faster but the torque makes it very slow to turn right.

Where did you put the elevator servo, and how did you attach the pushrod?

All of the servos are mounted on the booms.

One on each side with the elevator sorvo mounted lower on the boom that the aileron servo which was right up against the wing.

The pushrod goes straight out to the elevator and has a single support at the wing trailing edge to keep it from flexing.
