Hi all. Selling my Super Vyper. Reason is that it turns out I like full on 3D planes a lot more. This plane will 3D, but it's a little more work then with other airframes.

First the bad:

I had a bad day with this plane in which I busted the landing gear and cracked the canopy. Photos of my repairs are below. It still flys really good; in fact, just as good as it did before I hurt it.

I also made a mod to the elevator that some may not like. In an effort to improve the 3D performance I replaced the elevator hinges with hing point type hinges (to get more elevator throw), and went with a dual HS-65 servos for the elevator. This did help a little with pitch authority in harrier, but not as much as I had hoped. Luckily, the pattern capabilities of the plane were not effected by this mod. Still flys lines like no ones business.

The good:

It's a super vyper! Also letting it go at a good price. My loss your gain.

Question.

Is that the way the instructions showed the servos mounted in the tail, sticking out the side like that? Never seen it done like that before, is this something 3DHS does?

On any 3D airplane obtaining a CG that is aft of "normal" airplanes contributes to performance. He did it correctly and I am guessing his CG is per the instructions.

I'm in AL. My friend has the green version and it flies sooooo nice. I might be interested. BUT, what is that on the landing gear? A clamp?

Well, I did deviate from the instructions on the elevator servos. I had to modify it when I decided to mount two HS-65's back there.

Thats not a clamp on the landing gear, it is an ugly repair. I snapped the gear off in a sideways harrier landing and I fixed it by splinting it on either side with some 1/8" light ply and a bunch of epoxy. Painted it black so that it's not as noticeable (which is rare for me, usually just leave 'em ugly!). 3DHS sells replacement landing gear if it's too big of an eye sore.

No thanks on the trade. I'm all set in this size catagory all ready.

I don't know about shipping. I'm not sure I trust myself to pack it up well enough. Plus, shipping is always expensive. If someone wants it bad enough I'm sure something can be worked out though.

If it happens to work out - I'd be interested in the power plant (motor, esc, battery/ies). Unlikely I know, but I thought I'd throw it out there.
