how do you tell when your battery is fully charged?

hey guys. in the manual for my planes, it says that with the stock parkzone chargers you need to wait until the LED blinks every 20 seconds and then you know that it is fully charged. is this correct? i have heard others say 10 seconds, 5 seconds, 3 seconds, and so on.

From what I have heard, leave it in until it blinks no more.

Follow what the manual says. You'll be near or at full charge

Ultimately the resting voltage is the tell-tale. Mostly we use 4.2 volts (resting) to describe a full cell.

It might be pretty cool to do a volt check at the 3 ,5 10 , and 20 second mark to see just how full the battery is at those various markers.

yeah maybe i should do a voltage check. hard part is that i don't know how to check the voltage on such a small battery without shorting it out.

You've hear of "walking on pins and needles"?

I usually use pins or needles. It's easy to short them out until you get the right adapter or connector. Now I can just plug it into the dvm.

The 4 at a time one that came with my Blade m S/R charged the 1S 120 LiPolys to 4.18 to 4.20.

To many get hung up to much on wanting their LiPolys fully charged. 4.1.85 to 4.20 is fine and charging them to only around 4.15 would be better for them..

Out of curiosity, have you tried following the manual, and did everything work out ok?
