I was liking how the HF board will pass through 5v or 6v from the BEC to the servos... it is so clean, no servo Ys or anything.

thats okay
With the HF board also controlling the servos, you wouldn't need the Naze32, so you wouldn't need this widget either.

We are still testing changes on the Naze32 firmware. The last one made a pretty significant reduction on the unwanted movements, but we are not quite there just yet. I'm going to try some different PID settings, to see if that makes a difference. We are definitely getting close though.

Gary, any more video tests of the Sony cx710? I am one click away from buying one but I am trying to restrain myself until I see more positive results.

Sorry, I haven't had a chance to do any more fights. For one thing, our normally beautiful southern California weather has been pretty crappy the last few days, but the big problem is that there are only so many hours in the day. I had to finish the instructions, which I have finally done, and I've been busy trying to ship orders in a timely fashion. We are still testing changes, almost daily, to the Naze32 firmware and I still have to find the time, hopefully today, to get the first "crab" quad put together. My SunnySjy 2216-800kV motors showed up yesterday, so I finally have everything required to build this first setup.

Anyway, just buy the damn camera! I guarantee you won't be disappointed. You will still need a gimbal, but you won't need $240 worth of servos.

Doesn't "On a Vacation" mean they are already suspended?

my larger Y-6 is running the sunnysky 2814 and they are so smooth i dont need the vibration isolators on my mount.

Okay, I've been seeing a lot of people mention these Sunnysky motors, where are you getting them from?

Thanks,
Paul

+1 for the Sunnysky motors, I have 6x 2216 700 KV on my F550/Askman setup and 4x 2814 on an Ecilop.

Motors are awesome - so smooth. I have compared them with tiger motors (one in each hand)and they are identical.

Got my MKS servos and new landing gear/upgrades. Pretty pumped to get this thing in the air and flying!!

Jelico post some pics of your F550 with Gimble. Did your motors bolt directly onto the 550? Any mods needed?

I also ordered mine for OMGFly, but we are going to put in an order directly with SunnySky, for our new AG-500-NX "crab" quad. I just started assembling this setup. There's a couple of "sneak peak" pics attached. The arms are just stuck in there for now.

What I really like about the motors is that they come with long leads, and with a bolt-on prop adapter. The latter has a 6mm shaft that is long enough to take a 10x4.7 carbon-filled GemFan (shown...).

Anyway, still lots to do. The ESCs which will be some reflashed 30A ones from TC, will fit inside the frames. there is a cutout on the bottom plate for a "standard" 2" x 2" distribution board, which will then bolt up flush with the bottom plate. Electronics will go on top. We still need to maybe add a top plate, or a "hat" for some extra protection.

The gimbal, which has a mounting plate that is similar to what we did on the F450, will attach to the underside via four of the same silicon isolators, which are integrated into the lower plate. We have a new NEX yoke that is a bit narrower, which also fits the GF3/5. This won't fit a Canon 550D, however, but it would be too heavy anyway. Finally, the upper Delrin clamps for the legs are cleverly integrated into the frames themselves. This eliminates the need for a center section, like on the F550.

Size-wise, this is between the F450 and F550 (hence the AG500-NX nomenclature...), but with bigger motors.

More later...
