No problem DeeCee 57, thanks for pointing me that.

I do have read all the thread and take my notes. But I also remember read that this was equipement that Herb already have lying around (maybe I misunderstood).

When I ask for Fan, Motor or Batteries opinion, I just want to know if is there any modification Herb will do on the Power System to improve the model performance.

Since I need to buy everything maybe I can buy something a little better or not so expensive. Just guessing.

ARamos if you read through the thread you will find a list of the equipment I used. Improve the performance? Did you look at the video? You want a supersonic missile from a $200 china arf with a $19 disintegrating fan that you can wreck on the maiden flight ??

My suggestion is to use something similar to what I use ... keep it LIGHT. Did I say LIGHT ?? Look at the WEIGHT of your components.

Wemotec Midifan, DS-51, Aeronaut 90mm fan or HK (CS) 5-bl clone, maybe het fan (poorly balanced) etc. Quality ESC (Hobbywing / K-force or YPE etc.), not the $30 dangerous cheap junk variety. Inrunner 300-350g quality inrunner (Neu 15115 , Het 650 , Leopard) on 8S 3000-4000 or so. Motor kv in the 1500--1600kv range.

No, if you read the thread you will see that there is NO way you can get the CG right with a 10S 5000

This excellent calculator will help you in choosing an appropriate motor:

Earlier somebody was asking about the CMP L-39 vs. the HET L-39, and I thought the proportions were a bit odd on the HET one...

Recently I found this side view of the HET L-39 on the german edf forum.

The fuse looks really short and fat from the side, seems like they wanted to make sure there was enough room for batts

It seems Nitroplanes has finally dropped the price on the CMP L-39/L-59 from $259 to $168, which makes it cheaper than some foam edfs

It is possible that CMP finally did some changes on the L-39/59 wing construction as this one held up pretty well on one of the hardest landings I've seen It's hard to see how deep the crack in the wing is ...

I would consider buying another but the packaging is too risky.

Yes there'a risk but I bought two Nitroplanes T-45's (one was a black Friday sale so I bought a spare) and both were perfect.

The packaging problem is a CMP propblem, not a Nitroplanes one. CMP originally did a miserable job packing their planes for overseas shipping (see Hobbyking damages).

Here is my fan on 8s CS fan, you will love the way it sounds!
Watch for high amp!
Ihave the exact same setup...
same numbers in the plane.
using 4400mah 65c nanos
but the fan failed..
so I'm got two replacements from hobbyking and a set of blades from x-flight
soon to fly again when my RClander metal shroud arrives.. already assembled the new fan with the stiffer blades using epoxy between the blades.
the previous fan was also balanced.. did 2 flights but eventually failed on the 3rd just before take off.
the fan was perfectly balanced too.. the sound great until 4 seconds before it blew..
