Build Log
ENERGIC - 2.45m Hotliner

Hi guys,

there is a new toy in da house. This ship is called Energic, developed and manufactured under Dalibor's supervision by Jan Stonavsky who used to work with Jiri Baudis (Ceres).

Wing span: 2450mm
Lenght: 1250mm
Empty weight: 1200g max.

More pictures to follow shortly. Dalibor's one is equipped with 2.3kW but there is also another Energic currently being built with 6.5kW power train inside.

Very simular colors I'll using on the Viking.

This is a nice looking plane too. Maybe I should get one of these while I wait on the Viking

Flyextreme: Lead time will be definitely much shorter in comparison with lead time of the Viking. There is already prototype maidened and Dalibor's ship with serial nr 2 is currently waiting for elevator servo which should be here next week.

Pure glider fuselage with VTail is in the works and should be ready within month or two.

This is how it all started. Mission objective was to design a plane for sport/HP flying which you can stuff big motor with lots of batteries into and which you can put on the backseat of your car while driving to the flying field.

Looks like it will fill a hole in the market. Do you know what the seller will be asking for it, Martin?

Energic equipment:

Neu 1409/1.5D/6.7 w/ Castle Ice 100
5x Servo Hyperion Wing
RX Futaba 6208 HV
Bateries 3S-2800 Power HD-XT
RX Bateries 850mAh Flat LiFePo
Prop RF15/13 with Spinner

All in all 770g + some glue + some wires = estimated AUW up to 2000g which means surface weight approx 49.6g/dm2. Surface weight of Dalibor's Viking 2 E is just 48g/dm2 and it thermals pretty well so Energic will like thermals too

Around same span as backfire. Do you have picture of joiner? Is there much dihedral?

P.S. I am not liking those lifepo4 rx packs anymore. Mine have not lasted as long as the lipo equivalent, and if you leave on by accident, same damage as lipo... but I know dalibor not like bec, and that is one way to avoid them!

Plane looks great!

Nice!!! Looks like a fully molded FVK Signal!! This plane should do well as a catch all.

I ask this of all new T Tail planes... is there some reinforcement in the tail area to prevent the tail from breaking? I have had several NEW planes come out weak in that area, only to find out months later that the strength has been added to the layup.

Thanks for building this, nice...

Well, the T Tail area has three reinforcements in total. There is no need for worries. I believe it will be visible how strong T Tail is once Dalibor maiden his ship and will have some onboard video.
