A9 bug with pmixes

Building a big turbine F22 and trying to save some channels on it buy using the retract channel and brake channel together.

So I made a Pmix gear/gear. So one switch does the landing gear and a mixed switch would move the servo a little more to hit the brakes.

So here is the problem after making the mix I cannot select the mix to make it work and I cant delete the mix also. You hit select and it just sits their. All other mixes work. I even reloaded the software with no success. I tried this a few times before I figured out I cant delete them so now I have 3 Pmix slots used up that I cant get into.

My guess is if you make a mix with the same name like gear/gear then it wont work.

I was doing some channel assignment changes, and moving some buttons.
I found that you can not use the same name. It would not let me call my helicommand's sensitivity slider "gyro" cuz it was in use. I used a different name, and then I could assign it. If you use the same name, it assigns what's already there. A little frustrating.

Aurora firmware up to date?
as in post #2, V1.08 does not permit two channels to be assigned with same
function name to two different switches.
Setup of channel and switches must be made during initial setup
Aurora 9 - Programming Problem? - Parameters must be set in correct order
e.g. V_tail, see chart and attachment.
Suggest delete that model from memory and start over.
Aurora 9 - Model Number Reset or Delete.
Recommend "Reset" (format) a new model name to clear any extraneous data,
which might reside there for any reason, before loading in any details of the new model.

Thanks Alan.

Yes the software is up to date. I cannot forget going to 1.08 since when I did it reversed some channels so my big F16 folded the gear on the ground and broke all my gear door hinges off and had to order new ones.............

I figured I would need to delete it. I might just leave it alone so I dont have to redo everything. My work around was to reverse some servos saving a channel so I could use a separate channel for my brakes.

Is their a way with the A9 to change the throws of a switching function with another switch?

For instance if I want my retract servo to move from point A to point B can I have another switch that will make that same servo go from point B to point C?

Retract gear servos are not proportional and can not be programmed to various positions.
Higher powered digital servo are commonly used for that purpose with downside being
if the gear leg bends and wheel jams, then a digital servo burns out rapidly.

Whilst all switches are assignable, use of two switches for one servo is doubtful as in preceding posts,
A9 does not permit same "function" on more than one switch.
A three position switch, if one remains spare will provide a "position". Adjusting throws of one switch with
another may also cause problems with the two switches being in "wrong positions" and overdriving the servo.

Will have a twiddle for a two switch workaround and respond later today,

Alan when I say retract servo I mean the servo driving a UP2 retract Valve. I have a pic of what I was trying to do. Only difference is I am using a UP2 valve that sequences the doors. System uses air.

The funny part is when you first make the mix it will work one time. You can edit it and everything it it was close to working. But I had to fine tune the adjustments and when you leave the mix menu and come back you cannot select the mix again.

Pictures provide a much clearer understanding...please try:
A. Three position switch "C", provides
1. Top = Gear up with door closed.
2. Middle = 50% movement = Gear down
3. Bottom = Brakes on.
Use EPA to adjust end points if needed.

B. Example with separate three position switch:
Channel select: ch5:GEAR:C ch7: AUX1:G
. P.Mix 1. AUX1>GEAR - Select > AUX1>GEAR Normal [C]
Rate +: +50%, -: +50%
provides additional rate adjustable movement in each of the three positions.
. Example with separate two position switch:
Channel select: ch5:GEAR:f ch7: AUX1:G
. P.Mix 1. AUX1>GEAR - Select > AUX1>GEAR Normal [C]
Rate +: +50%, -: +50%
provides additional rate adjustable moverment in each of the two positions.
