Next DLG contest at El Dorado Park - Sat., Feb 11th, 2012
The next DLG contest at El Dorado Park will be on Sat. Feb. 11th
START TIME - 9:00 Pilots meeting. First flight around 9:30 Tasks - 7 rounds - We will be doing unusual tasks - not traditional F3K this event, such as 4 x 2:30, 3 x 3:20, 6 x 1:40, perhaps a round of Javelin launch. Suggestions welcome! Awards - Top 2 expert - Top Sportsman Entry fee - $5.00 .1st time El Do Sportsman fly for free! Lunch will be provided. We will take a short lunch break between rounds 4 and 5. The field is in El Dorado Park Area #3 in the northern most part of the park.Entrance is off of the north side of Spring St. , just east of the 605 Fwy. $7.00 park entrance fee if you don't have an annual pass. We welcome first time contestants and new for this year, 1st time Sportsman will fly free. It's a great way to improve your flying skills with the help of our more experienced pilots. With all the big two day contests coming up, which adhere to strict F3K tasks, we've decided to mix things up a bit and will be doing all non F3K tasks for this contest.We will be doing unusual tasks such as 4 x 2:30, 3 x 3:20, 6 x 1:40, perhaps a round of Javelin launch, and the Mountain -my own variation on the ladder. Suggestions welcome!
