Love flying my RP, I have 9 planes and thie Radian Pro is in my top 3.
Very nice. Workin' that lift pretty good.

It's tough to find a really good video that captures what it looks like when the plane is in lift. If you zoom in, it's just a plane flying. Zoom out and it's just a speck moving around. This video is a decent balance...not too far to see the wings.

Guess it's kind of like the Grand Canyon. A photo cannot capture the scale of it. Ya just gotta be there!

Fact, I got nervous because I am flying the orange RX in her. I think I am going to upgrade the RX just for a pice of mind. I could also put a satelite on the orange RX? what are your thoughts?

A satellite surely couldn't hurt. I fly AR7000 receivers and have never had issues. I use a flight logger from spektrum, and on high flights I do get more fades on one or the other receiver, but have never had a loss of signal show up on the logs.

Does the orange have the capability to attach a flight logger? If so, it does give peace of mind.

Dont know? how does the flight logger hook in with your AR700.

It plugs into the binding slot (AR7000). Guessing it probably only works with a spektrum receiver.

Bet it would, the orange RX is a spektrum compatible. I will check into it. Thanks

Got the Ventus in the air for a few launches today. Had to race to get in these flights before a rainy cool front shut me down. I've done extensive rebuilding on the Ventus due to the poor quality of the stock parts. Had to slice up the hinges on every control surface to get enough throw to fly comfortably. Replaced 2 servos, motor, esc.

The CG on this plane is notoriously difficult to get set, and mine was no exception today. It was way too far forward, and I had to use all my up trim just for level flight. Will fix that with the addition of a keycam on top of the stab.

Anyway, here is a starter entry for the new Ventus, hopefully something more substantial next time with proper CG.

Nice one Robert.

Been a very mild winter here too.

When you say upslope lift I'm guessing a slope facing the sun, warming more than the surroundings????

First good lift day this month. Caught 1 good thermal from initial launch altitude (600' +/-).
I stopped circling, as I was getting uncomfortably high & then couldn't find another thermal.
Other 2 launches were pretty much up & right back down (about 5 minutes).
