Walkera UFO mx400/ Devo 8

Hi there,
I just got the new walkera mx400 with the devo 8 transmitter. It was ordered from Hong Kong, so the details in the manual are a little sorted.
I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find the setting configuration for the transmitter.
I can't wait to get this thing in the air! Thanks if anyone can help!

Have you had a chance to fly this quadcopter yet? I have been thinking about getting one. It looks like about the nicest quad for the money.

Hi Guys,

I have a question regarding the Devo 8. I understand that there is 12 model memory at a given time. Is there like a SD card slot feature to make unlimited upload model memory?

Please advise

Hi Kgarrison

Sigghhh

I should have got the Devo 12 then. Man....

OK it is what it is...but are you sure???? is there a way we can find out? i dont want to have to spend 600 dollars for a devo 12 if i dont have to.

Ive already got28 recievers for the devo 8 in the mail going to install them in to my ships when they are here.

I hope we can get to the bottom of this but i cant find any resources!

why did you convert everything to walkera stuff? am i missing something here? i would of gone for a turnigy 9x myself then flashed it with er9x firmware and either used turnigy RX's or added a flysky module and used those RX's instead? you would of spent a lot less and had 16 model memory with the er9x firmware and at $50+ dollars per 9x you could of bought never used one and still had a lot more model memory than your current amount of models?

i have 20 walkera helicopters...in addition to my fleet of 28 planes

all 20 helicopters are walkera.

Also I have had good experience with the 2801 pro, walkera technology is good and I think I dont mind paying more.

Not sure how technology is with turnigy...but the spectrum stuff with orange counter parts are garbabe IMHO!

I can get a devo 2801 reciever for 29 bucks on ebay and ehiboro....only 15 dollars more than an orange reciever and satellite combo from hobbyking...

the orage stuff is blind build device material and virtually has no QA...the Devo stuff you can trust.

Turnigy I dont know

but back to my main question :

K,
Hi Atomiton,

I have an MX400 with the Devo 7 Tx and had a similar concern about the settings. Come to find out that that the Tx should work for the MX400 without any attention to the settings. The multitude of settings that all the Devo Tx's have boggle the mind at first, but my Devo 7 Tx works fine with my UFO 5# and my UFO MX400 without getting mired down in all those settings. Why Walkera confuses the issue with all those illustrations in the manual is one of those mysteries of the Orient.

Let me know if this helps.
