what Amp Lipo setup you guys use (for charging the Twistedhobbies 450 mAh 2s1p) ?

charging batts on a Hi Tec X4 at 1.5 amps balanced... it"s a 5 amp per channel max charger...

for this bat I thought being 450 mAh then .45 or .9 ? not sure if the bat can handle it ?

Twisted hobbies site says it can be charged at up to 5c or .45 x 5. I'd probably keep it to 3 or 4c though.

fwiw....this plane on 3S has the batt on top of the wing with about 3/4 of the batt in front of the spar... 450 mah gens ace 30c

Though I have batts that are capable of charging at 5c I rarely do it. Thunder T6 with a paraboard works just fine for me.

What is the best motor for the crack yak on 3s with an 8inch yellow tuff prop?
I need to upgrade mine.

I know it's more $$ but if you invest in a four way charger you can charge at 1c and charge the battery in less that one hour, but do 4 at a time.
So effectively you are charging at 4c but not reducing the life of your batteries, as they are still charging at the optimum for prolonged life expectancy.

I run both motofly or the crack series motors now jimbo both handle 3s just fine.

That's why I went with the T6 charge 4 packs at 2c and you'll have them under half an hour. Or use the paraboard with 4 packs on it plus three other packs charging on the other ports.

I see Mark has the X Series 1480kv motor back in stock. I'm not sure it's rated for 3S but I've been running them on it quite a lot and haven't had any problems. If we could get the 24g or 26g Crack Series motor I'd have said go for that but at least with the X Series motor you won't be changing your cog. Works well on 2S with a nine inch prop too but is more suited to indoor with very smooth throttling.

I tested that motor on 3S and a 8x4.3 and it worked well.

Well finally got a chance to maiden my first 3d foamie a crack yak and wow this thing goes where you point it. I finally understand what it means to power out of trouble. I think im going to enjoy this hobby a whole lot more now.

Yeah we need new pics and videos from the new guys. Going to get some video this weekend if the forecast holds up. Last weekend blew in so many ways!

cdee have you messed with the timing or start up on the new esc? Still trying to figure which is which with the sounds. Should have got the programming card last time I ordered. Will get it the next time I get some other stuff from TH.
