Voltage Regulator / Transformer to Drop Voltage
Anyone ever build, use or purchase such a critter to neck down voltage? Say from a 3S 11+v down to below 9.5v or as low as 2S?
I have a Traxxas rc car with an esc that is iffy past 9.8v. Some run 3S batts, some run like rabbits. I have other uses for 3S batts of that size (2200mah+), but not for 2S batts.
I am likely to gear down the motor or run it in trining mode to moderate the current. Frankly, if I toast the brushed esc and brushed motor, I will shed no tears. Replacing them with BL equivalents is on the upgrade path.

Droping the voltage is easy but not at the amps. you would need.
I have the 3000 mAh version of this Gens Ace and it works well in my CC Mamba Max coverted Traxxas Rustler.
