Hello,
I have possibly silly for most of you question (am not experienced flyer can say), hoping someone would confirm what I just heard from Tech Support...
... Just got my Sonic with Mode2 radio... and.... found out, that it has different assignment of ailerons and rudder from what I used to fly... For instance in my old radio for Typhoon 3D my ailerons are on the right hand side joystick with elevator, while rudder is assigned to the left one with throttle. but.. It's different on Sonic! (too bad!! I'd hate to learn new way of controls) - in Sonic rudder is exactly assigned in opposing way then on Typhoons. Specifically Sonic's ailerons with throttle are assigne to left joystick while rudder with elevator to the right one. According to Tech. Support guy in order to resolve it all I need is to switch wires on receiver; rudder wire I should plug to aileron ch, and aileron to rudder... That effectively should change my assignment on radio to what I want. Is this true? Can someone please confirm it? - I also asked, if that in any way would influence characteristic of Sonic's physical performance (diff. angle for ailerons/rudder???) - and he said no... I don't know enough about this stuff.. Can you again confirm of what Tech. Support guy says? I've notice already ailerons have difference when it comes to receiver between two planes: For instance, on my old receiver in Typhoon, I have 2 dedicated plugs for left and right ailerons separately (2ch, one for each aileron), while here on Sonic just one plug - for both ailerons just 1 plug on receiver (newer technology???).
Many thanks in advance to whoever can explain to me those things...
Also.. I would like to use my new lipo battery that came with my Sonic on my Typhoon.. The problem though is connection to the battery. New from Sonic has 'barrel' like, while Typhoon's old type (NI-MH old battery) used different one (white with natch on side) ... I'm thinking about buying some kind of adapter... (GPMM3130???). Any opinions? My Typhoon's NiMh battery is rated as 10.8V, and 1000mha, while the new one is 11.1V with 2200mha, 25C - the voltage is just slightly higher, but the same 11.1V battery I've seen recommended by ParkZone for the lipo battery for Typhoon - so I'm assuming 0.3V difference is not a problem here... Again, any opinion would gr8tly be appreciated!
