Is there a 120 SR Clone?
I plan on buying a Blade 120 SR some time this spring but I was wondering if there is a cheaper clone version of this helicopter and if so what is it and who offers it and for how much? I definitely want to move up to the Blade 120 SR but if I can get a clone a lot cheaper then I can get it sooner and play with and learn before I move up to a real Blade.

There isn't yet, but there probably will be, as it's retiring technology.

There is the Nine Eagles 328 but is not an exact clone because it has a slightly different head. However, it has had poor user feedback concerning the lack of performance and also the propensity for boom strikes.

You can get a used 120 Sr for a little more than half the cost of new.

I ended up getting a slightly used one on ebay. It works fine. I then upgraded to a DX6i. Plus I smashed it into a steel pole and the left servo stopped working. I played around with it and I saw smoke coming from the servo. So I ordered a new servo. I took the old one out and put the new one in, including my first soldering job, and the new servo works fine. I also ordered a new 5-in-1 just in case my new servo would not work. After fixing that I feel I can fix any R.C. heli now. lol.
Now I'm starting to look for broken 120SRs on ebay because I have an unused new 5-in-1 and I know I can put it in. |

Check out the for sale areas here on rcgroups. Also check out these two sites www.rcuniverse.com and www.helifreak.com there are some pretty good deals one used ones at times. Or put up a wanted ad on these sites and see what you can find that way.
