Sorry Dieter, I checked my spares and no Racer head.
I have a few other Racer bits, conrod, shaft, bearings, but no head.

One comment, the rear plate on your Racer is in the wrong position.
The intake should be in the top right corner when viewed from the rear.

Gentlemen,

I have need of 2 needle valves and a spray bar for the McCoy .049 diesel.
I can't seem to find them anywhere. I'm almost to the point of trying to make them myself but I'm not sure I have the skill level, not to mention the know how or the where with all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way, I think this site is a great idea.

Thanks, Stan

If you can't get original parts for your McCoy, but only want it to use them, measure the OD of the spraybar, tell us here and I'm sure someone will make a suggestion......i.e. perhaps a PAW item will get them running.

I did just that with both my Webra Rekords so I could use them.......Not PAW in this case though, and I've forgotten what they are.....too long ago??? Maybe DC in one of them I think?????

Could anyone confirm whether or not the glow & diesel .049's share the same NVA...?...if so I've got a spraybar for you, Stan..! It is pressed into the crankcase, interference fit.
Sorry, no needles...

The .049 NVA is considerably smaller than of the 'ordinary' McCoys...the photo shows the difference in size....

I've got a couple of NOS .049 spraybars available (sorry, no spare needle), and I suspect the .049 diesel & glow versions share the same NVA....

Gluehand,

I checked on the McCoy .049 Glow/.049 Diesel and the NVA appears to be the same for both.

If you still have the spray bar, I'm sure it will work. PM me at the address below.

I also remember seeing somewhere on the net that the needle is from #1X72 threaded stock. Now if I could just find it again. I'll have to retrace my history for the last week maybe it'll show up.

Thanks Gentlemen for all your help. I really appreciate it.

Stan

Well I must say this thread has really worked well for me.

I was able to get a proper NVA for my Webra Rekord that works a treat.....Thanks Gluehand.
I do still need another for the second Webra I have that at the moment has an Allbon/DC in it that does work well.

I was also able to get the missing brass cutoff arm for my ED Comp. Special......Thanks Luke.

Does anyone recognise this spinner nut..?
It's a WAF-1 part, so I figure the chance to find one is microscopic...
I take a chance and ask though.......as I know by own experience we all have a "watsit" or two in our drawers....

Gluehand, re.the spinner you are showing. Is that one you have for another WAF?

I should think if you can't get one it would not be hard to turn one up, and I guess the metric thread for the front of the crankshaft.

FWIW downunder here I have never seen a WAF engine, but there is a photo of one in an old Aeromodeller here somewhere.
