That weight seems like a bit much for a 1s setup... Still not a bad price. Even if just for the airframe, might be good to toss one of those fancy as3x boards into

I've got a Yak airframe on the way. Plan to use electronics out of an original SU-26 that's been beat up over the years

Anyone know what these will bind to (if anything?) I can't stand the game controllers, and a little expo makes the aerobatic micros easier to fly. With the FlyZone/Tactic strap-on antenna velcroed to the back of a Spektrum DX6i, there's a whole lot of UM fun to be had without carrying a bunch of crappy radios around...

Last weekend, after a few adult beverages, I was on Nitro Plane's site ordering a Dynam 182 ($79 PNP!?!?!?!! - Awsome deal!) when I saw these new micros. At the time they only had the box photos and one picture on Facebook, but I remember flying a buddies PZ Sukhoi a few years back. I added a RTF Yak to the cart and pulled the trigger, figuring that I wouldn't have time to order and install guts before the next indoor fly-in in Feb.

It arrived today and I thought everyone would like to see some pictures. I put most of the information in the captions, so be sure to read those.

Aside from the controller, I'm very impressed with the kit. Rotary servos and a PZ-style 150mah 1S Fullymax battery. Brushed motor, but that's what the Sukhoi had too. EPS foam, decent proportions for a micro, and it seemed pretty well put together overall. Some minor things, but pretty nice for straight out of the box.

One note: The TX takes AAA batteries and the charger takes AA's... My house has lots of AA's, but not many AAA's. I was able to scrounge 4 AAA's from around the house and will give it a toss in the back yard when the battery is charged.

EDIT: Wind picked up so no flights today. A basement test-run shows that it has enough power to climb out of my hand, but I can't judge wether or not it will hover. Out of the box control throws are too small, but that can be adjusted... The TX has trims but the trim range is very small. Servos seem decent, won't really know until I fly it.

I also ordered one should be with me next week, I will test it standard before trying for any changes, as soon as the new F-86 UM is out I will buy one with the free "anylink" module and then try to fly them with the Spectrum DX8 and see how they do.
Has anyone try this yet, any advice will be very welcome

i had the nine eagle yak54 and i can say with no doubt this is the same exact airframe as the nine eagles yak that is a good thing cause this thing can take alot of punishment but the electronics look alot better in this and it looks like there is an option for a 4th channel so it could be converted to a BL system witch it will be able to hover. i will place an order for 1 tommaro
AND also get some turnigy nanotec 160 sence most times the stock lipos r crap

I just saw these for the first time this morning and look intresting but had a few questions.

It appears there is no BNF version available only the RTF with the 'toy' transmitter or the 'kit' with no electronics in it. This true?

What technology does the RTF versions reciever use? I am assuming not DMX (spectrum).

If I got the 'kit' where to get the parts that would be compatible with spectrum? Would a brick out of a PZ micro work?

Oh and some flight reports from you lucky guys that have one already!!!
