Hope all is well, miss ya over here!
Almost the same. Biggest difference is geometry of the wing and new airfoils on tail

Just received my new Perfection SL ST40 from Bob. The plane looks just like the one in Claude60's post but with a white fuse instead of the black fuse. I am not real keen on the colors but since I took what was available I did not have to wait a long time to get one. This thing ought to be a really sweet plane. I like how they did the tail group on this plane. I do have one question though, have any of you had to relieve the slot for the elevator actuator to get more up elevator. Mine only seemed to be able to get about a 1/4" of up travel before binding. Looks like if I open the slot up a just a little it would allow more travel.

See Ya,

Hello Pat,

The elevator is very responsive, there's no need for more up travel. They recommend 8mm up and 12mm down. I actually added more down travel because I like coming in low and slow for landing.

BTW, get ready to moth-ball the rest of your planes once you fly this one.....

The Perfection lives up to it's name IMHO! But, don't spend your hard earned cash on a plane based on anything I say, I'm just a wanna-be.... With that said, it takes about 4 hours to build, 2 minutes to setup at the field; actually only 1 minute, the other minute is spent showing everyone how the elevator works, and it's so easy to trim/setup and fly.

If a Supra and Perfect got together and had offspring, this would be it.

I'm flying the C68 with MKS 6125 and 6125minis in the wing and mine came in at 72oz. The span is 3.72 meters.

I like it so much I sold my 56oz Maxa and my 63 oz Egida so I can spend all my time learning one aircraft. I hope this will add up to a little more consistency during a contest.

Try it, you'll like!

Jim,

I doubt I will moth-ball all of my planes. I mean heck I do own a Radian Pro as well.

See Ya,

Pat

I certainly hope to have it flying at the TNT. Of course that would mean the wind isn't howling like last year. Of course if it is, I will have my new Precision there too along with the Egida.

See Ya,

Pat

Dan,

I have nothing against the wind. Remember I do live in KS and it blows here a lot. Makes me feel right at home when I come down to the TNT and you guys have ordered up a little breeze..

See Ya,

Pat

I had to open the elevator slot a bit on one of mine. More widthways than lengthways if I remember correctly. It too started to bind at around half the required up travel. Now it works perfectly. Maximum up travel needed is the suggested 8mm so no need to file away too much
