You have to let us in on it, since we can't get it in the U.S. tell us what
it is about!

A group of professional modellers were approached to build and fly a UFO -
with th aim of fooling the public into believing it was a real UFO.

They build a 25" saucer like craft powered and controleed electric motors.
Using several pilots they flew the craft over UK countryside and over
Avebury (Wiltshire).

Re: A very British UFO Hoax

haven't laughed so much in ages.

seeing the footage of that thing flying across the countryside with
that rotating light and stuff and thinking of what the people on the
ground must have thought just tickled me.

the problems they had on route just reminded me of building my little
models

excellent stuff from channel 4

How odd they didn't mention that Elvis was the pilot. Seems the British tabloids can keep a
secret after all . . . .

If anyone is interested and still subscribed to this thread, Channel 4 are showing the program again at 01:30 GMT tomorrow morning (Wednesday 7th Jan 2004).

I'll be setting my video for sure.

I am, but I live in the US. Is there any info available online? If so, can
you point to a website?

Thanks!

25 Ft big and electric motors? I wonder what they used for power? Also to spend
$50,000 (or was it 50,000 pounds?) on a hoax just to fool people, that takes
some character or very rich people who don't know what to do with money.
