You miss one year at SMALL and you have doubts about flying something?? You must remember what the event is about and what kind of characters will be in attendance. Arrive early so we can test fly because you can't once the event starts. Yeah right!!!

As long as it does not end up in the middle of the prision court yard you'll be fine.

As usally, I crashed my TURN-ON before I got it to SMALL.
Never fails that I always crash a couple right before the event.
Made a order for some new batteries. Most of mine are over 8-10 years old
and are a bit lethargic.

See you soon

Larry

Sadly , it looks like my Stryker wont be making the trip this year The esc and motor cooked last sunday and it augered in,

The damage to the airframe was minimal and easily repaired but it seems stock motors are few and hard to come by.

The last time I had doubts about flying something I had a old futaba radio in my hand. 2.4 rules!
Rockets are a totally different animal . every flight is a test flight.

I'm planning to attend if at all possible with a video camera on hand. And yes, I know how to post to youtube.

Seems my father may need a kidney transplant soon and I may be the lucky the lucky donor. It may interfere with the trip to Little Rock. Unsure at this point. In the meantime, I'm making plans to attend in case it works out....and I'll be bringing rockets as well.

I've never been to SMALL but I wanted to ask what the feeling was on aerial photography?

If possible I'd like bring down one of Joel Scholtz's HawkEyes.

I don't have it set up as an FPV aircraft, and only plan on putting on a small digital camera and a GoPro.

Thanks!

SMALL is the most relaxed event you have ever been to.
Pilots meeting goes something like this.
Be considerate, have fun, stay as long as you like, meeting over.

Somebody mentioned drama last year, I have no idea what that was about but a part of me cannot believe it.
orbit over the field all day if you want, you might even help the free flight guys find a lost plane.

Thanks guys. I've heard that this is a relaxed event but I wanted to ask before I assumed anything.

I'm looking forward to the warmer weather! It snowed nearly 1 1/2" here today!

Warmer Weather!!!!
Brother, you are in store for some HEAT.
They like this event hot, I mean hot, ball sweating hot.

After lunch everybody's flying from the edge of their tent to stay in the shade, it's that kind of hot. And don't forget the humidity

Hey WebDragon. Let me look through my stash but pretty sure I can come up with a ESC and maybe even a 400 size brushless motor to get your Stryker going.
May not be the prettiest but it's free

I'll be there flying electric gliders and there is plenty of room to set up a winch on the far side of the runway.
