If it didn't take so long to setup i'd be tempted to bring my homebuilt winch and my unpowered birds as well as a few of my electrics.
both myself and the kid that came with me had a blast there. and i'm pretty sure some of you remember our parkzone strykers ruining the silence

SMALL Indoor 2012 ???????
Has anyone heard anything about the Indoor Section ?????
I have not seen anything posted yet. It has always been a fun part of the three days for me and many others.
Maybe we can talk some of the Rubber Bander's to bring some of their indoor planes and flying with us in the evening.
Let us know! and,
Keep Them Flying ! , Ken

Looks like I might be getting a hall pass to come on down.
Hope it's not as much drama as last years event.
Brother George should be coming along too.
Thinking I might be bringing some EDF's this trip. A HET Starfighter, Twin F-22 and others.
Might try to cut back on the regular number amount of planes and just bring a few dozen.

Richard Ng and I have been talking with Paul Willenborg about have a (very) unoffical sub-theme gathering at SMALL this year....vintage foam ARFs and kits!...
I am bringing the following vintage foam models (ARFs and kits) that are 25-30 years old, converted to electric power:
Cox Cessna 182
MRC Ryan ST-A (the 24.4" foam model for either geared rubber power or .020 R/C)
Kraft Super Chipmunk ( the late 1970s electric brushed foam ARF.)
Bentom Edelwisse (Semi scale motorglider, looks a little like an open cockpit RF-4)
I also have an nice old Sure Flite 1/2A J-3 Cub that might be ready in time, as well. Also have a Bentom Schweitzer 1-30 motor glider that could get finished.
Richard Ng may bring the Kraft Cessna Cardinal that is the companion kit to the Kraft Chipmunk, as well as:
A Cox Piper Warrior
An MRC Cessna 182 (companion kit to the Ryan above)
Paul Willenborg will have:
MRC DH Puss Moth (also a companion kit to the Ryan and Cessna mentioned)
And another Kraft Cessna Cardinal.
All of the Cox and Kraft (and I believe the MRC) ARFs mentioned above were actually produced by Kyosho.
Anyone else want to participate? We wanted to have some mass fly bys of the Cox and the MRC models, if possible.
All types of power welcome!

Has anybody received their SMALL reminder in the mail this year. I have had several people ask about them but I am not doing it this year. The host club (FARM) is in charge.

SMALL Steps 2012
Hello, first of all my name is Bobby Moran. I am the President of the FARM Club, and the CD this year for SMALL. I just want to inform everyone that yes the FARM Club is hosting SMALL this year. Sorry for any delays I am not one to put out any info until I have every thing conformed. The sanction still has not been processed through AMA. I have contacted AMA and they said that it will be processed this week. I have not sent out the post cards yet and wanting some opinions on the importance of the postcards. Also any ideas that you would like to see at SMALL? I have located a new gym for the indoor that is right off the interstate on the way to the field. I have added an attachment for the Fly-er.
If you have any questions please post or email me. firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks

Typically, Doug Powell, the District 8 event coordinator gets his part done very quickly. Once I have confirmation from him that the event date is good to go, I start the publicity right away and do not wait for the AMA paperwork to get to me.
Sometimes the AMA can be a little slow mailing out the event paperwork. I had to call them and remind them last year.
