Lightley Loaded by Gene Fuller was a column I really liked. Gene had a style that gave information and tips in a way that you didn't really know what you had picked up until you went flying.
In my case it was 17 years later, make sure your battery is in good shape. Sorry you had to teach me that the hard way Carl, thankful Gene taught me.

Mr. Kite,

I enjoyed reading your competitive thermal hunting article. I enjoyed, even more, the ad on the last page. My current build, the Raven 3M, is from the very same people as in the ad. They are still making plans available some 31 years later.

I had an Evolution. Flew it with the short wings w/ a .10 in the nose.

Plans for an 84" Raydic by Frank Ziac in 1970, a giant 7 1/2 foot R/C Glider from Polk's Hobbies and the first part of 5 Giant Steps in modeling.
I'll scan and post the rest of 5 Giants steps if you guys want, I am only posting the part that relates to soaring today.

Kinda like my first car, Model A Ford, I paid $75.00 and drove it for three years. Drove it from South Bend to Tower Hill dunes on Lake Michigan a minimum of 2 times a week during summer mating season. Never should have sold it.

I think I still have 2 or 3 Cirrus kits in the vault. N.F.S.
