Dave Thornberg cover "first really different contest in a long time".

Dr. Fogel talks about a motor glider possibly going to Mars . . . read it and find out.

My question is, what happened to the project??

I built that little free flight glider as a kid. It flew pretty good.

To answer your question on the Mars aircraft, I believed it morphed into this NASA project:
http://marsairplane.larc.nasa.gov/platform.html
check out the 1/2 and full scale versions on that website!

I hope it makes use of the thermals on Mars. If they are going all that way, why not do it right?

Radio Control Modeler July 1975

Thank You Gary.

Just another tease here, the rest to follow.

The rest of July 1975.

Good discussion from Jim Simpson and some cool ads that are have me re-writing the Nostalgia pages to include the new to me sailplanes.

I am going to guess they mean 10.75 pounds for the Ka-6E.
Always had a soft spot for V-tails, now there is another I want. Anybody have a Gull S.S. they want to part with?

Rick seemed to have things under control with his Windrifter.

Major O. Stenbol gives talk about sloping and thermal flying.
I wish I had the July issue for part one. If any one can help, scanning at 300 dpi is best.
Czechoslovakia has been turning out sailplanes longer than a lot of people may think, too bad they did not mention if Josef Brada's design had a name.

Thanks!!!

Oh man.
Thanks for the data and the memories.
FWIW:
First plane Drifter2 (6ft.) first flight May 81. 2 ch Sanwa radio dry cells, Craft Air Upstart flying from a schoolyard (before they were fenced and "secured")
Once I had most of these mags and articles from 1978 to 1989, but lost all 90.
Aircraft now, BOT kit, Ken Bates Windlord (scratch built) my own design 100" based on Tom Williams Windrifter from scratch and memory.
And a Malibu 40 from Midwest kit.
Again Thanks to all for the impossible to replace info and the memories.
