Thank You Gordon. I followed your Lil' T thread, even got my kit out and looked real hard at moving it up the build list. It is fourth in line at the moment.

Hey Jack,

Careful what you wish for, that is, if your wishing for an Apollo. Without expressing my personal opinion on the flight performance of the Apollo, I'll just say, ask Don Harris about the Apollo.

I built two of them, one for Bob, that is pictured on a magazine adv and I flew the other. The best thing about so many of the old designs is the Nostalgia involved with building and flying them for the fun of it. Another way to put it, there are Nostalgia designs that are good choices to fly in the Nats Nos event if you are bent on doing well in the standings and there are those that are Nostalgic to build and fly.

I have the rights to the Apollo and plan to kit it some day, I'm sure for a very small market. But hey, I would like to build another one. Plans are not available from Sky Bench ... my customers patiently waiting for their kits come first and there are just so many hours this old boy can put in every day.

Here is a link to my web site's "Soaring History" pages, scroll down the page to see the magazine article reports on the greatest events .... Soar Nats.

I also have the Zephyr magazines, but there not up yet.

How about a Role Call of NSS members with their membership number ( ECSS ... remember ? ). I have all the publications.

I'll start it out:

I had a Lanier Condor ... Dan Pruss gave it to me.

We covered the wing with shelf paper that looked like a red brick wall ... and it flew like that brick wall, too.

RCM April 1974, JACKPOT!!!

That is all I can say about this issue other than the Flight Caddy could be adapted for sailplanes.

My dad ordered Puddlejumber plans after reading that issue. It's a .10 powered amphibian by Ken Willard. I still have the plans. Dad never did build the plane.

Been Busy Tonight

I didn't get much scanning done tonight, spent a lot of time on the web page. The file naming I used does not work with my web host so I have spent the evening renaming A LOT of files.
A sneak peek at the History front page, not many of the links are live yet.

For your entertainment though, another class.
No test this time.
