Here's hoping Carter II brings Reagan II

Very much worth a listen:

C-SPAN: President Reagan 1981 Inaugural Address (20 min 49 sec)

30 seconds in my first thought in was "I can't imagine our current Affirmative Action Hire coming close to the intellect and competence that RR had."

You would have never heard RR say "I wanna give a shout out to XXX" at a somber event like a press conference involving a public shooting. Makes me long for the days when we had actual Adults in charge instead of a sulking Boy King.

Perhaps more of a George Washington II. I believe we are at this stage of our Republic more dependent upon Divine Providence that we were when General Washington wintered at Valley Forge.

2012 can very well be the turning or ruining point of our Nation.

Well, back then, they tarred featered people.

Even during World War I Minnesotans were tarring and feathering people.

Today, we have wood chippers.

Could get messy.

I'd much rather we just voted for Ron Paul, or the two main parties broke up int 6 or 7.

I don't think permits matter when it comes to revolutions that lead to new nations. In those cases, civic leaders are involved.

But I really don't think that will happen. People are effectively controlled today with instananeous communications. Indeed, if a revolution were allowed to proceed, I'd be suspicious that it was a controlled chaos.

My main point is that a 2nd reagan or a third party is preferable to a 2nd national revolution.

What we need is a devolution revolution to an evolution back to sanity, morality, and personal responsibility.

There are countless co-existent moralities at any point in time - take your pick.
