mjp, that 30mm fan will be too big and heavy as well as an amp hog etc....

Agree with NitroCharged on replacing with the ammo motor. However I would still call the manufacturer and ask if they will warranty the original motor. It hasn't been that long and should not have gone bad. These things happen with motors, no matter who makes them. Nothing electronic is 100% all the time.

I did call them no good since I jumped the gun with the Xacto
Motor coming I will post up results.
I realize nothing is 100% I picked up another one this weekend until the first is fixed.

Trust me it's good to have two (or more)of them..

I just (back) ordered one of these from Tower. Along with a couple of batteries.

What I would like to know before I smack this thing in (and I will) is how well it flies without exponential controls? I have dual rates.

I found the ailerons to be very touchy for my taste even with EXPO and low rates.. Elevator I need full travel so also use EXPO to soften it up at center.. As you don't have EXPO I would go with 40 and 75 on aileron for first flight on 40%, elevator if you are flying with the 250 battery all the way forward and Velcro down so it can't slide backwards and a Dime on it for the first flight I would try 75 and 100%, for first flight 75% but be ready to go to 100% if needed or as soon as you feel conformable with it. As it helps with the landing flare and stopping the Sabre dance if you get into one..

Yes with landing gear, landing and taking off is where the fun is at for me.. More than how fast it will go from I can't see it anymore to I can't see it anymore.. This thing gets small fast..

Remember to keep the airspeed up.. No prop blast to save your ass on these..

Mine needs lots of elevator as well; she sinks fast in corners lol
