Agree with this as well.

Has anyone done any type of "upgrade" regarding this? I don't remember seeing anything on here. I could be wrong tho..

I use some clear tape on the leading edges, and for me it works very well..

I added a piece of thin CF rod to the LE of rudder and underneath vertical stabs

Another idea.

One of the aileron hinges broke apart while installing control horns. Thinking of ways to repair it, besides taping, I remember having some CA hinges.

Remembering your post I of thought this as way to make the vert stab more sturdy. A couple or three of these CAed in the vert stab should make it considerably stronger. And, the hinge won't break.

I broke the same hinge on the field yesterday. I CA'ed it back together. Seemed to work great.

Add me to the crash list; after quite a few flights it happened. Got to cocky in a different field, smaller with baseball field fences, trees, benches, people Ect. Flipped to high rates and did some fast rolls; transition into split S, forgot to switch off crazy high rates, swooped down in front of me, leveled out and tried to regain control and it banked back and forth heading towards a fence, frantic I dumped it before fence and it hit the ground intact first and then cartwheeled sideways testing off a wing, complete with broken aileron.

It's fixed all up now, BUT intake is not as purdy as she once was

Now that its beat up; I'm wondering if it would be worth reducing the diameter of the exhaust tube in an attempt to gain some speed. This worked on my JPower F86 but it has lots to spare.

What do you EDF experts think?

Leave it. It already has a reduced tailpipe built into the fuse shape.

If you want more speed, go 3S. Short bursts.

Hey, NC. So, you've tried the Ammo on 3S?

I know my ESC's OK with it: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ontroller.html

I just received my F86 (with the new 250 mah battery). If I push this all the way forward will the CG be right, or do I need to add a dime under the battery?

Thanks

Uploading now.

Yes, when I flew it again on 2S yesterday, I thought the lipo was flat on launch - took a second for the brain to work it all out. LOL
