Ive had it stand in end before nose pointint to the heavens like it was in high alpha and still recovered; mind you i was 10 feet or more off the deck lol It is a great little EDF; mine wont fly inverted for crap now though since nose has been dinged up a few times ![]() Oh well I wanna mod it for more speed someday anyways Perhaps someday itll become a goldenhawk! |

Gotta fly it like a real jet because that's what it is. Keep the throttle on and the airspeed up.
I have two of these - one to fly and one to bash. I'm on my second plane now and it is does fly differently than the first one. Same radio (DX6i) same Anylink device and the newer plane simply requires more speed on landings as well as some up trim to maintain power-on level flight. Even after repairs the first plane was more stable and easier to fly than the newer one. |

I think the differences in flight characteristics could be attributed to slight variations in the control linkages between the batch runs. These differences only amounted to a three clicks of "up" elevator trim on one plane. The new plane weighs in at 70.5grams with battery, landing gear, and about 1.5grams of ballast in the front of the battery box. My first f86, which basically became a flying collection of glue joints and scotch tape, got up to about 75 grams ready to fly. |

For someone perhaps interested in purchasing this plane, what are the major things to consider before purchasing?
Are there any mods that needs to be performed? Does it handle well in the wind? Are the stock batteries up to scratch? The E-Flite MiG is taking forever to be released, and I am starting to look closer at this plane now. Thanks |

I highly recommend this jet!
![]() The stock 250mah lipo is fine and gives good flight times. Just this weekend gone I tried the new nanotech 300's in the Sabre - it handled the weight no problems but they will give no increase in power. It can handle a good stiff breeze. Mine is very battle scarred now but still flies the same as when it came out the box new. ![]() I can say the Mig Vs Sabre showdown is going to be interesting.
