Probably Luxeon or Cree for the very bright ones.

Plenty more info if you Google them.

too pricey (a single bulb with some wire soldered to it is $20)and I know those bulbs are available elsewhere. I picked a set up at Toledo, I'll snap a pic of one of the bulbs. Its really weird as it has an odd shaped diffuser that's been molded into the body, its almost 5MM and I cant find it anywhere?

oh and I need them for this

Nice plane! I'd love to see it fly. Where do you usually fly?

Hard to say what they are selling given the low quality photos. It could be nothing more than a 3mm or 5mm LED. In addition to that, their system of wires and plugs looks way heavier than it needs to be, but again, it's hard to tell from the photos. They do show a focusing lense which is about the size of a penny - a 5mm LED would not fit in there, so it's probably just a 3mm LED... in which case I think it's way too expensive, over-engineered, and heavy.

It could also be a micro halogen bulb...http://www.shopcateye.com/products.p...%252d0.5a-bulb (these are used in helmet lights)

Oh also, I was looking over my LEDs here and I was confused about 5mm and 3mm - a 5mm LED would fit in that lense just fine. I have found them in brightness up to 18000mcd which is pretty darn bright.
