You mean from the elevator to the fuse? The screw is about 1-2mm too short. I forced it in by compressing the EPO slightly and putting loctite on the tip of the screw.

ryan, your not the only one with short screws. i'm actually on page 28 so far. yes some guyys have reported short screws. HD should remedy this issue.

okay i need 4 good servos (no hardcore 3d, just speed/sport) for this plane from hk (usa) but what sucks is that their all out of stock! geeez!

whats a good prop for stock motor/esc? (i want a black prop if possible)

Looks good for the ailerons but these might be a bit undersized for the elevator & (IMHO) these would be much too small for the pull-pull rudder & tail wheel setup on this beast. Consider a standard-size servo, meaning big, for that one...

Metal geared would the preferred style of servo for the Sbach rudder & elevator, especially with the amount of opposing forces being applied to those large control surfaces...

Having said that, I've got standard (plastic) geared servos on both my Sbach & E-flite Diamante & haven't had any issues yet. These are not HK branded nor sold by HK, either. I have GWS std servos all around on the Diamante I got off of ebay & the others are from Hobby Partz as they have a decent selection of servos to choose from on their website...if they happen to be in stock...

my girlfriend did the standard shipping. Took about a week and a half to get here. I'll upload some photots of putting the tail wheel on as the instructions suck. Took me 3 attempts to get the configuration right.

You can mix analog/digi servos no problem.

I just read posts on a few people swapping the stock ones out.

The 9 gram servos in the ailerons for an acrobatic plane seemed really iffy. I liked the idea of standard size for the E/R so I'm installing them when I get back to the build. Have not flown, don't even have the wings on yet! Stock ARF servos are replaced for the most part on my "builds".

I am running the high speed versions of the 1705 mgs from ValueHobby in a 48 inch Techone Swift 3D machine. They have been preforming great for 35+ flights and that airframe gets hucked around every flight. I have the 1705mgs for my ailerons as well on the SBach.

I saw a post where someone put in carbon spars down the length of the fuselage. Is this overkill or a good idea? See attached for what i'm thinking of doing
