Question
Logo 10 - Mega 22/30/2?

I'm considering a Mega 22/30/2 (1770kv) with a CC Phoenix 60 ESC for my Logo 10... How does this compare with the Hacker B50-13L (1858kv)? I compared the motor specs, and except for the Mega being slightly lower in kv, they seem to be really close in size, and therefore, torque. What's motivating me here is that the Mega is almost $80 cheaper than the Hacker..

I'll be using 4s4p TP8200 cells.

Pinion suggestions? 13T or 14T?

BTW, I will be flying mild aerobatics and circuits only..

Actually, the C50 numbers are more accurate than the B50 ratings and so the C50-13L has a kV of 2031, which is quite a bit higher than the Mega 22/30/2. The C50-15L, with a kV of 1760, is much closer.

A 14T pinion should get you a headspeed of about 1850 with a 4s4p pack of 8200s.

Interesting... I was also looking at the C50 and was wondering why the kv ratings were different if they were basically the same motor, except with the built-in heat sink for the C50..

So, sounds like the Mega is similar to the milder 15L rather than the hotter 13L...

1850 head speed sounds pretty ok though...

1850 is almost perfect, if you don't get any bogging. I was using a 14T, which gave me a headspeed of 1920 with my setup, but it bogged slightly during hard manuevers. I dropped down to a 13T and my h/s is now 1850 but it doesn't bog at all anymore.
