Thanks antslake. There was a link to the hull back on the 1st page or so but it's no longer available from the ebay store. http://stores.ebay.com/Promise-Hobby You can send an email to Frank and still get one though.

Bill, looking good as always. I am sort of torn right now. I wanted to get the Cat from Frank but then i was looking at the big 51 inch cat from OSE.. If i save up for Frank then i might as well hang on for a bit longer then jump into the 51.. But with something that big..would a twin and stinger setup be the way to go? ...But seeing your last run there...wow...now im really confused. Is there anyone else with a nice 41 inch cat hull like that...i mean part of the cost is shipping!!!

Fightercat racing has a 41" Fantasm cat here in the states. It's not as wide as the Falcon, but unless you want to run roundy rounds it shouldn't be an issue.

There's also Expresscraft here in the states if you want something in the 50-60" range. One of his 50" Thunderbolt cats is my avatar. I sometimes wish I'd never sold it.

Thanks Bill..im checking it out now. OSE has a 36inch 11 inch wide cat with a pretty low introductory offer...they recommend running it with the leopard 4048 1600kv ..i think it is.. But its pretty well within my current budget allotment...

My plan was to get something "small" for now...then after the tax time..something big.. I will keep you posted..thanks

If you're talking about the DF Explorer cat you may want to do a little resrarch on it before pulling the trigger. It's a good, fast straight line boat but does not like corners or chop.

Pseudonym built one too. His was a real rocket but it didn't turn either.

If you wan to run the long oval and stay upright you'd be better off with the 34" Cheetah.

Actually, a Sprintcat would be a better choice in my opinion. A bit more cash, but much better stability.

No argument from me on the Sprintcat being an even better choice Ray. It's hard to beat one for good handling.

I mostly said Cheetah since it's about the same price as the DF Explorer and does handle a lot better than one of them.

Bill, i got an email from Frank stating that he is not selling boats any more "at the moment"?? Anyway...looks like im going to go with the cheetah from Fightercat. I was looking at your Cheetah the carbon fiber...and i know you used the leopard 4082's..1600kv..OSE is out of them right now...do you have an alternative?

Bill, fightercat rc has their tp 4082 which is their version of the leopard 4082..its about the same price..minus the free water jacket that OSE is putting in their deal.

Actually I used a pair of HET 700-68 (4068) 1680 kv motors in my Cheetah. Doing a twin there's not room for much more. If you do a single then the long can will be fine. Chris (osprey21) has one of the TP 4082 (I think) 2200 kv motors in his Pursuit for P mono.
I keep thinking abot doing another Cheetah and putting my Neu 1521/1Y (1577 kv) motor in it as s ingle. I used to run it on 6s in my Gemesis until putting it in my old P mono DF-33.

Thanks Bill, i was leaning towards a dual since i wanted to sort of run the stinger setup...they look cool.

But if i did go single would that tp or leoapard 4082 1600kv do it? Or maybe something with a little more kv?

KV will depend on the s count you plan to use. 1600 would be a good choice for a 6s setup and a 4082 is about the same physical size as a 1521.
If you plan to run 4s you might want to look in the direction of 2200 or so kv .

Guess this one is due to re-surface again. I'm not really superstitous but wonder of the double 13's were messing with me today. (Thank God it wasn't a Friday as well)
As you might guess I didn't have a "good" day today. My Pursuit wanted to chine walk and after running, adjusting, running... decided I wanted to run something that "worked".

The Swordfish does seem to have taken care of the cutting out effect it was getting with the Castle, but it thermaled after about 4 laps. Guess I better recheck the timing.
