SASS October Contest (Oct 20)
A little update from Seattle... it appears Camp Korey wants to shut down Carnation Farm to flying October 20th... We're trying to work something out, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up. Our fall back is to host the contest at 60-Acres, assuming there's no soccer. Please stay tuned... we definitely want to fly, we're just not sure where yet.

Oct 20 contest
Good luck Lee!
Ok guys here's the scoop on the SASS contest for Oct 20.
We have reserved the field at Sand Point (Magnuson Park). Here's a map - https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid...05627,0.009484
For those of you unfamiliar with this field it is an active park and there will be soccer games and lots of people milling about. We'll discuss some do's and don'ts at the pilots meeting. This will be a little more "public" than we are used to so everyone wear clean clothes
Plan on being there at 9:00 for the meeting. We will hopefully be finished up ~3:00. You can pull up by the gate and unload your gear and then move across the street to the parking lot. Do not park along the road. There is a porta john right by the gate.
Cost will be the same as always, $10 for SASS members and $15 for non.
We'd like to get a fairly accurate head count so if you'd either respond in the thread or PM/ email Red or I that would be appreciated.
Not sure yet if we will have lunch served, check back.
Should be fun guys!

Glider Games cancelled in BC becuase of the rain. I will make it to the SASS contest on the 20th. Thanks for setting it up you guys.
Also will be heading for Eagle early this Saturday for a day trip if anybody wants to ride along or meet over there. Looks like it will be sunny and blowing at least 30-40mph. Lee

Ken and I are a maybe. We will be keeping an eye on the weather reports as to whether or not the drive will be worth it. I am guessing we will make it over though. I have never flown at the now scheduled location. Hope to see you all on the 20th.

Burton you don't have a choice!
Understand on the weather Ben. If it's really bad we will cancel but as you all know Red has a pretty tight connection with Mother Nature.
Other news just in, our AMAZING Chef Bret will be providing lunch!
