Apex,

Who helped you with your Concept wing repair? I should have had you take a look at my Blaster wing after the mid air with Russ. Any repair advice would have been appreciated.

Hey Guys! That will be great to have you join us. We will have to see what the weather will gin up - we sure got our share of crazy this last time. I'll have plenty of polish dogs for the BBQ.

Looking forward to it!

PNW Hand Launch Guys,

In about 2 months Red and I will be packing up the RV for our trip to Denver and the Team Select Contest over Labor Day weekend.

The plan is to leave Wednesday afternoon and drive straight to Denver, should be there Thursday mid day. Return will be leaving after the contest concludes Monday getting back sometime Tuesday. Will be camping at the field so expenses will be mostly just fuel.

At this point there is only two of us in a 32' RV. It would be great to get one or two more guys to join in.

So even if you're not interested in flying in the contest it will be a great opportunity to see the best pilots in the US competing for a spot to represent us at the world championships.

PM or email Red or I if you'd like more details.

Rick

To build off of Ricks post, if you are qualified...GO TO THE TEAM SELECT CONTEST!! This is a great experience and will be so much fun (three days+1 day practice contest folks!) how could you not. This is THE event to be at, nearly all of the big shooters will be there for you to meet and to fly with. You flew hard up in the northwest, got qualified and now is the time to sign up to see how you stack up on a national level!

July 14 in Olympia is one. AMA sanctioned contest, first contest in the NW for team selection for the next team cycle.

No entry fee for junior flyers. If you have a junior and want them to go to the Colorado team selection in September for the USA F3K team this cycle (NEXT YEAR) they apparently have until september to attend a sanctioned contest. They can then go to Colorado. Junior entries are apparently very low and this is an outstanding opportunity for a junior!

Forecast is for 80 and sunny on Saturday! Looking like Burton, Lawrence and I are coming down.

Russ/Gary, what time should we plan to be there?

I'll be there too, assuming I can avoid what I did the night before the last Olympia contest (fold the wing of my only current DLG while test flying). It is possible I will be maiden-ing my replacement ship on Saturday - I hear that is optimal for a contest... Actually feeling pretty confident I'll get it completed tonight so that I can at least get it properly trimmed out before the weekend. Looking forward to experiencing the Oly field! And the polish dogs.

I'll do a full post on the contests and tasks "real soon now"

Pilots meeting at 9:00.

I'd appreciate either a response here, or email me and let me know if a: You're coming for sure, b: Probably, c: maybe. Please, no PM's as my box is pretty full.

We need to make certain we can feed everyone.

Thanks,

Gary
