That's a sweet job. I'm curious to know what that cut out on the tank is for? Are you making a ZH HOR?

i'm not making a ZH HOR. at least not yet! those cutouts are only for clearance with the frame and steering linkages so that i can mount the tank/tail unit lower and further forward. without the modification the tail looks too high and too far back, especially since i'm trying to make it look like the Aprilia superbike which has a really tiny tail.

Have you used crash bars/nylon versus rollers on the Zh? what do you think?

Im over the roller things, put them on all my bikes and had more body damage than ever. They may work a little better but the bars protect the bike and to me thats more important. Im back to bars now except for the 509race, there is no place to mount them properly on it. The sb5 rollers is something of intrest though because it is mounted on bars but i have not tried them. I haven't even dailed my 203 in yet but its on the list still gotta get the right tires, although the .50 might be OK now that its warm. Yeah, I still have a lot of test and tuning to do.

I actually prefer the bars, but having to change them out all the time is a huge pain. The wheels last sooooooooo much longer.

for smooth tracks i prefer wheels all the way. for rough track surfaces i prefer bars. they actually glide over the roughness better than the small wheels.
