I've just finished the testing of the PC software for the CX-3X1000 and 3GYS (patched ZYX software). As far as I can see it all works well, even all of the PC setup screens.

It's cheaper, very easy to use and makes setup much easier as well.

This software/USB link will be much better for setting up on the bench.

I can see I will still throw the programming box in my pocket for quick tuning adjustments when flying.

Yes, the program box is nice for taking to the flying field, unless you're happy to take a laptop. Also for $5 plus shipping (for the USB link), it helps to make this gyro a good low cost option as well, without the limitations of the Tx programming.

The original Tarot software (so hopefully BF's version) has the ability to save the set-up to disk so you can keep a back-up of known good set-ups.

You're welcome, guys. To answer a couple of questions:
1/ Yes, saving/loading the model setup as a file works fine.
2/ Not sure about the firmware update, but can't see why not at this stage.
