Absolutely! If the tail works well in one of the presets, you can copy those values into your own custom settings, which might use the cyclic settings from another preset. Every heli is different (special?) so just use the settings that work for you.

Since you have the USB adaptor, it's really easy to save all your settings in a .ini file - and it helps if you give the file a descriptive name that will mean something to you when you look at it some time in the future.

Do make sure that your heli is as good as it can be mechanically - otherwise you'll be chasing a moving target.

All was nice, BUT... Today I flew twice, then decided to remove the training kit and, sadly, I immediatly got "WOD" again :-(
The training kit seemed to somewhat stabilize the heli / FBL module.
What can I do now to get rid of it again ? Lower some gain ?
Thanks in advance for any help.
I have the copterx head and started out with the WOD. Move your servo balls into about 5.5mm. I tried lowering the gains to 20 when I had longer servo arms. That got rid of the WOD but the heli was very unstable. With the balls at 5.5mm and the gains at default it flies like a dream.

First off thanks for all the help from all here. I have been lurking for a while.

When I adjust the gain setting on the radio, does that only affect the tail gain or does it affect all the gain settings?

Thank you for your answer and your help. I'll give a try.
5.5mm seems so close
Does any CopterX owner confirm having these wobble / shaking and need such a close distance with servo arms ?

Nobody answered yet, so I'll try to help you.
As far as I know (but I only know a little) the gain in radio (gyro gain) is only for the tail.
Cyclic gain is adjusted in FBL module.
(Can someone more experimented confirm ?)

Yes

Now it's my turn. I thought I had every thing set up in my 250. All servos going the right direction, when you move the heli the gyro is working in the right direction, but it ends up my collective is 100% backwards. What do I need to change? Futaba radio.

I did fly my 450fbl today. I don't like the dead band on the tail at all. I also realized in my rush to get it in the air I didn't check how much pitch I had. Need to plug it back into the computer and increase it.

Copy that, only for the tail. Thanks

Go back into setup and change your collective pitch adjustment to a negative number, if it is already negative make it positive. This will reverse your collective.

1- What is the title of this thread ?
Oh yeah "PC Software for Setup/Programming the CX-3X1000, 3GYS, TG-1, ZYX etc."
2- I googled your exact question and had the answer...

Whatever flies right.

If u can get 12deg collective and 7-8 cyclic with the servo horns that short, go for it. It all depends on the length of your blade grip arms and the design of the frame.
