-------------------------------------
(older post)

There has been some discussion at the local slopes about putting together a race series using the same plane design. Something cheap, yet fun. I suggested the Speedo since so many people already had them, and they are capable of flying in a wide range of conditions. The suggestion seemed to be widely accepted.

Should be a great time, and introduce a lot of folks to the sport.

So I present this to you all, would you be interested in a simple and fun race series?

-Wayne

Sounds like fun to me. My wife won't be happy that I "NEED" another plane though
I guess I'll have to get one from you soon, Wayne.

I'll be your Huckleberry!

This sounds like the perfect excuse to finally get a Speedo.

I'm in, I have a Speedo to fly. Location and or dates? Mid February? Fermin, Little Mountain, Dave's Beach, Lilly's? Saturdays are generally good for me.

Ok lets talk locations. I'd like everyone to contribute sites.

I'm going to suggest we do not use Dave's Beach as I have been skunked there too many times.

Instead I'm going to suggest Ortega. It can be very good there, and almost no locals to upset. This will be a new site to many, but well worth knowing.

I'd like to try Ortega. Fermin is nice and fast, but in a MoM, with midairs a part of the game, being able to retrieve my radio and servos would be nice.

Ortega sounds great. I've never flown down there. A number of lonely spots up skyline in the Cleveland National Forest, ie Heaven, that would be fun. I can vouch for Little Mountain, which is perfect for the Speedo.

...Wait...

Wayne,

I need a Speedo!

Would there be separate categories, one for stock Speedos and another for "modified"? (i.e. composite wings, etc)

OK - I have some special pricing for the Speedos. They are already on sale, but for the racers I have a special code you can enter for an additional discount. Enter the code "mom likes speedos" into your cart and the price will drop. Couple that with no charge local pickup and you have some huge savings!

Discount is limited to one use per customer and two planes. If you kill a plane in the race I will offer the same pricing even if you already used your discount. I'll even bring spare planes to the races just in case.
