Wow, I consider the -380 on 6S with Xoar 15x8 insane (no plans to change)... what prop were you running with a -500 on 6S?

I run a apc 15x7e on my motrolfly 4315 500 kv, tons of power

I'm planing to run a 15x7 or 15x8 on 4s 714Kv. I will have to do some testing both on the ground to check for amps and watts and in the air to test for the feel.

Hi everyone

I've just ordered one of these in yellow! I'll be using Aurora RC Andromeda lights on here (the sticks have been shortened). I plan to mount the lights onto the SFG's so I can use the SFG's as the mounts

I've read the SFG's barely make a difference to flight performance on this plane. Is that so? Great if it is as it means it'll be okay to not use them without the lights On my EF planes they make quite a big difference but about on here? Also, what screws would you recommend for them? I've heard the ones that come with them aren't very good, haha!

Also the lights will add about 180g to the airframe. I think this will be fine as I've read the airframe can cope with weight very well Is this so?

Here is my planned setup:
Motor: Motorfly DM4315-714 (already got it) (what spacers will I need?)
ESC: Castle ICE Lite 100
Prop: Xoar 15x8 or 16x7
BEC: Castle BEC Pro 20A (is that overkill? Would the 10A be okay?)
Spinner: White 63mm one will be alright
Servos: JRDS3711HV all round at 7.4V (what servo arms should I get for these?)
Battery: Thunder Power 3850 mAh 65C 4S (these are working very nicely in my Slick 59 giving me flight times of about 4:30-5 minutes)

How much difference do the SFG's make? And what are the best screws for them? I've heard the ones it come with aren't very good. I plan to glue my lights onto the SFG's

Did anyones edge come with vinyl? Mine just came with the crap stickers like the 48" edge unlike my 59 slick and 74 edge which both came with decent vinyl.

The first day out I had an SFG come off using the nylon screws which came with it. I did fly it for two more flights w/o SFG but can't really make a comparison as I had ESC issues and other things going on that day.

I replaced the nylon with some metal hex screws I had lying around which fit the blind nuts and those have had no problems in 16 flights.

I don't recall what graphics my 58 came with but I'm pretty sure what I used on mine came from my 74.

The SFG screws are 3mm.

The graphics that come with the 58 are minimal at best....really not large enough for the 58" ... perhaps they came from the smaller model. This plane screams for some custom bling

Cheers Hopefully they'll be able to hold on the extra weight from the lights, haha!

By the way everyone, should I go for JR 3711HV or 3717HV for the ailerons? The 3717's have less torque but more speed. What do you think?
