Should work fine with the a40-10s or were you refering to another motor. Thanks for the help

A40-10S motor is a 4S motor...not 6S....sure going to have to use a small prop for 6S....

which Motrofly did you get?
almost everyone has had to put some nose weight in this plane, or else shove the battery all the way up to the firewall, regardless of motor choice.

Running a 4315/714kv on 4s. No nose weights and battery is still about 1/2" - 1" away from firewall. I put 2 4s2200mah in parallel.

Have the 4315-500 and a 6s 3300 pack about 1.5in from the firewall

Thanks for the info.

Got the plane a few minutes ago, NICE!!!!! What manual should i use and I see some are using a bec. I was going to use my quantum pro 70amp. and use 2s 2200 in series. Will not be going over 2800 mah in series. Should i also get a bec. Sending back the hacker Monday unless someone needs one for the 90.00 that i paid (save a few bucks) . This plane is going to be nice when I get it built.

Thanks again, Eric

If your ESC provides an acceptable voltage to the servos and receivers you can use it. Many people (including me) use a BEC simply to get better (higher) voltage to the servos. Also the safety of knowing you still get power to the rx and servos if your ESC dies.

You should be able to use the older 55" Edge build manual. If you would like, I can email you a version of that manual which I updated for this airframe. I am planning on sending it to 3DHS for their review (since they haven't done one that I'm aware of), but I just haven't had time. PM me your email address if you'd like to review my updated version.

Just hit a roadblock. I was planning on using my hitec 5085. These servo trays are pretty big. I can mod the trays ro fit. Whats your opinion, mod the tray or go with different servos.

different servos. those will die quickly and you will lose the plane. go with hs-225 for low end servos. savox 1250mg for high end digitals.
